Welcome to the wiki of the Business English Special Interest Group of IATEFL. The purpose of this wiki is to allow BESIG members to pool their knowledge and create pages of information they'd like to share.
NB Anyone can contribute to any of these pages. There is no need to "Join" the wiki, simply choose a page you would like to add your information to (see the links in the navigation bar on the left), and once there click on the "Edit This Page" tab (top left) to begin writing. If you'd like to add new pages, however, you'll have to first register by clicking on the "Join this wiki" link at the top of the navigation column on the left. Click on the following link to view an introductory video tutorial showing you how to set up your own wiki and carry out simple editing of pages: Wikispaces tour.
We have recently begun gathering information about business English-related books; please follow the links on the left to view or add to what we have collected so far.

the page. You may want to inform BESIG members of the new page; a good way of doing so is via the BESIG e-mail discussion list.

This is a mail I recently received showing interest in a BESIG course:
Dear Phil,
You showed interest in offering an Electronic Village Online session on Business English. This is an excellent topic for a session and we highly encourage you to develop the idea into a session proposal.
The guidelines and form are available in the links provided below.
We can't wait to see your proposal. Do you think this could be a BESIG IATEFL featured session, as many of the names you suggested are part of the group?
Let us know if you have any questions.
